We exist to make Christ-like disciples in the nations. That purpose begins with recognizing God’s desire that our own lives be “...transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Cor. 3:17-18). As the grace of God is transforming our own lives, His Holy Spirit is enabling us to be a reflection of His transforming love around the world. And it’s all to His glory!
Making disciples also involves extending God’s loving grace to our neighbors, classmates, co-workers, the destitute, and to the one in darkness on the other side of the planet. William Barclay said, “Every Christian must see themselves as the link to the next generation.” New Life Community is a congregation that is learning this reality. Each of us, as a visible expression of our Savior, is a loving link to the next generation of those not yet redeemed by our Lord Jesus. God is doing a transforming work in our midst, and we want the world to know the reason for the hope that we have.
